The entire ABN AMRO organization (worldwide) is dependent on the daily availability of the IT systems developed and managed by Private Infrastructure Platforms (PIP). PIP takes care of the daily operation and the realization of tactical and strategic changes within its scope so that it continuously meet the expectations of the consumers of Infrastructure. PIP is an Internal Service Provider that offers Mainframe, Open Systems, Connectivity and Datacentre services to its consumers. The scope is not limited to the Netherlands but extends over the entire ABN AMRO Bank.

The Private Cloud Services (PCS) department within PIP comprises the largest IT environment within ABN AMRO. It includes all parts within the Open Systems context that are required to fully serve consumers. In other words, Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, IBM AIX, Oracle Databases, Messaging, File transfer, Application hosting, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Storage, VMware and many other components are part of the scope.

Every day 1000's of IT people, bank employees and customers depend on not only the availability of these solutions, but also the necessary developments within this IT field. The dynamics within this area are therefore great, fun and challenging.

We are looking for a tech-savvy platform engineers for our on-prem storage and backup environment with an expertise in NetApp and/or Commvault. The focus of the PCS Department is on enabling and supporting our internal customers and deliver overarching platform components and products like SAN, NAS and Backup to further mature our Core IT capabilities that are integrated with other services of the Foundation and Products departments.

Your job

As IT Storage Automation engineer you develop and maintain ABN AMRO storage platforms so that application teams easily and rapidly can use their software (development and maintenance).

You have extensive knowledge of

• NetApp and/or Commvault as storage and backup products
• Automation tools (either with Ansible, Powershell, Azure Devops, other CICD and automation tooling)

And understand terms as 'desired state configuration' and 'zero touch deployments'

You will be part of a team that is end-to-end responsible for the development and maintenance of functions and services in an Agile way (Scrum).

Together with the team and PO you will;

• Refine user stories
• Give updates in daily huddles
• Present the outcome of the sprint every 2 weeks!

Your profile

You get exited when we say automation and you have deep knowledge of SAN, NAS, Backup and automation and want to work with great professionals

You feel responsible for the products and services that you created. You work with a real end-to-end mindset. You are capable of working with huge complexity and are able to make small implementable work packages out of it. You provide feedback, listen openly and communicate transparently.

You have 5+ years of experience working with either NetApp Storage or Commvault Backup and at least 1 year of working with Ansible. You can script and/or code 1 or multiple languages!
