As a Business Developer, you focus on improving the performance of the ‘Financial Markets’ processes, systems, and tooling. You do this by translating product and process improvements into value propositions and end-to-end solutions that are consistent with developments in the areas of technology, digitalisation, legislation, and regulation. You take into account the requirements and frameworks set by internal and external stakeholders, such as development teams, regulators, market data and trading technology vendors & platforms

Your job

You promote change via the solutions you propose. You clarify how effective improvements in performance, quality, and efficiency can be achieved. You provide advice to relevant internal and external stakeholders, create support for implementing change and run activities. You co-ordinate delivery and implementation of external venue connectivity (e.g. bond markets, exchanges, otc markets, electronic trading platforms and interdealer brokers) 

Working environment

As a Business Developer you work within the Cross Product Value Chain that provides market & reference data, market & venue connectivity, regulatory & transaction reporting and customer & product onboarding services across the product value chains. Within markets there are three product value chains : FX & Commodities, Credits & Rates and Securities Financing, Equities & Treasury.  The cross product value chain team consists of 1 Lead Product Owner, 2 Product Owners and a team of 3 Business Developers. You report to the Lead Product Owner.

You are driven to keep on exceeding the expectations of internal and external stakeholders. You are able to view the ‘Financial Markets’ processes through the eyes of those stakeholders and clients, and draw on this perspective when working on improvements to the products, processes, and systems for which you are responsible. You are interested in our stakeholders’ world. You use your knowledge, experience, and propose improvements with your team. You provide advice to stakeholders and win their support for your insights and proposals. You also aim to make the processes more effective, efficient, and cost-effective.

  • In-depth knowledge on market data and reference data required within Financial Markets.  
  • Good understanding of trading technology solution used across Financial Markets.
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets organisation, services, products, processes, systems, and tooling 
  • Knowledge of process management and process thinking
  • Good understanding of Business and IT architecture
  • Good stakeholder management skills and advisory skills
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience, preferable within the Financial Services Industry
  • You are an energetic person who combines thinking and doing
  • You are a result oriented person and have an open and honest communication style

Furthermore:

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. This position concerns a job for at least 36 hours.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
