Your job
As a Data Scientist, you will:
- Develop innovative Analytics & AI solutions using Machine Learning, Generative AI, and AI Agents.
- Turn business challenges into actionable data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Lead projects from idea to implementation, working closely with business and technical teams.
- Explore large and diverse datasets to identify opportunities, trends, and performance improvements.
- Advise stakeholders on KPIs, reporting, and decision-making through compelling data storytelling.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Architects, and business experts to deliver impact.
- Drive automation, continuous improvement, and adoption of data-driven ways of working.
- Stay at the forefront of developments in AI, GenAI, cloud technologies, and advanced analytics.
Working environment
The Advanced Analytics & AI Center of Expertise (AA&AI CoE) is part of the Transaction Banking Data Domain, helping drive excellence through data. We support a broad portfolio of banking products and use advanced analytics, AI, and GenAI to generate insights, improve processes, optimize performance, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
Our team acts as both trusted advisors and change agents, helping embed a data-driven mindset throughout the organization. We work closely with business experts, product owners, and leaders to solve complex challenges and create customer value.
The Transaction Banking Data Domain consists of 40+ professionals across the Netherlands and India. Your profile
Do you think you are a fit? Check your qualifications:
- Degree in STEM or economics/business, with an analytics focus.
- 6-8 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in data science field.
- Exhibit high level of proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL and coding best practices.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI (Forecasting, Prediction, Cluster Analysis, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Document processing, AI Agents), and eagerness to learn and develop in that area.
- A combination of analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, communication, and reporting skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English (and Dutch)
Great to have:
- Knowledge of the financial sector and/or banking products.
- Experience in working on azure/ Databricks/ or similar cloud platforms.
- Affinity towards technical topics including data and machine learning engineering.
- Microsoft DP-100 certification (Azure Data Scientist Associate).
- Knowledge of agile methodology, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Microsoft AZ-900 certification (basic knowledge of Azure cloud services).
