Business Analyst at Risk Management – NN Bank Payments

NN Bank is a rapidly growing part of NN Group, offering customers in the Netherlands financial services in the areas of Savings, Investment-based Savings, Investments, and Mortgages. Payments is a new domain with complex subject matter. We are in the process of building and expanding this domain. You will actively contribute to shaping and securing our payments proposition—for both our customers and ourselves. NN Bank has an exciting opportunity within the Payments domain for an enthusiastic Business Analyst in the Risk Management team. If this sounds like you, this role could be a perfect fit.

What you are going to do

Payments is a new product chain within NN Bank and still in development. We went live in May for a limited number of customers, but the major commercial campaign is yet to come. A large part of the chain is outsourced to internal and external partners, which requires risk management in a complex environment. Would you like to contribute to the growth and development of Payments as a Business Analyst, and help protect the bank from the many risks that come with offering a payments proposition? You will support our first-line Risk Managers in Payments in managing operational, IT, outsourcing, and legal risks. In doing so, you help protect not only the bank but also our customers. This is essential to the success of our payments proposition. You’ll be involved in developing and improving quality, processes, and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and facilitate risk assessments within Payments
• Initiate, organize, facilitate, and test controls, and document supporting evidence
• Contribute to managing the risks associated with working with many external parties
• Ensure compliance with new and existing regulations, such as privacy and PSD2 legislation
• Perform data analyses to assess risks
• Maintain contact with stakeholders such as second-line risk management and auditors
• Report on departmental results
• Provide general support to the Risk Managers in their daily work

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial services
• You are based in the Netherlands
• You are fluent in both English and Dutch
• Experience in setting up and improving business processes
• Strong skills in creating reports
• Affinity with and/or knowledge of payments (a plus)
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience in Risk Management (a plus)
• Excellent writing skills to express analyses and conclusions in a transparent, clear, purposeful, and efficient way

Who you will work with

A pioneering role in a new part of our organization. The Payments team consists of around 50 experts. You’ll join the Risk, Fraud & Control department, which includes four Risk Managers and two small teams focused on detecting fraud and money laundering. We work closely with engineers, product specialists, fraud experts, process managers, and marketers. Together, we’re building a new proposition in an enthusiastic and close-knit team.
