You will also contribute to the further development of test automation, critically examine the entire testing chain and provide suggestions for improvement based on your knowledge and expertise.
This job offers you a monthly salary between €3252 and €4646 depending on your experience. This is based on a 36-hour work week, excluding a 13th month and holiday allowance.
What you’re going to do
In 2018, NN started using SAP HCM to make daily payments to benefit recipients. This is a unique application of SAP's payroll system that we at NN are certainly proud of. Over the past few years, more and more pension administration systems at NN have been connected to SAP HCM, with significant progress made at the end of 2021 and 2022. More connections will follow in 2023 and 2024. For this purpose, a separate change team, the Payday DevOps team, is responsible.
The Payday DevOps team is mainly responsible for managing and maintaining the payroll chain in SAP HCM and related systems, and building new functionalities based on business needs. We also need to be able to quickly and agilely respond to changes in the market, such as changing tax and pension laws.
Your tasks within this team will include:
- Developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports
- Analyzing functional and technical specifications of diverse user stories to develop test cases
- Executing and maintaining automated tests in Tosca
- Running and testing financial chain tests across different SAP modules
- Contributing to the development and improvement of the testing process and methodologies
- Analyzing and testing new changes, bug fixes, and incidents, including setting up test cases and scripts

You work in the Data Platform department of IT Services, which is part of NN Pensioen & Leven. Each DevOps team consists of enthusiastic 'T-shaped' Engineers and Product Owners, with whom you can achieve the most beautiful projects. There is a real learning culture in which we encourage each other to come up with smart solutions to problems. We are always open to colleagues who want to brainstorm or need help.
The Payday DevOps team currently consists about 10 people who know each other well and can rely on each other. We work as a DevOps team in two-week sprints. We have a well-filled backlog with necessary user stories, but we also make room for new ideas and solutions to ultimately achieve a better and more efficient payment and payroll chain. Not only for our customers, but also for our internal users and of course ourselves as a team!
We work in fixed teams as much as possible, with a lot of individual freedom and independence, which offers many development opportunities. Who you are
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of the SAP modules, preferably CM and HCM/Payroll
- You have experience with automated testing (TOSCA)
- You have at least HBO level of education
- You can express yourself well in both Dutch and English
- You preferably have experience in working in a scrum team
