Your job
Creating efficiency and optimizing (end to end) processes is in the core of the Lean team’s activities. We do this in order to best service our corporate clients and at the same time minimize costs. As a Lean Consultant you will initiate and participate in diverse lean projects within Corporate Banking. You will execute various analyses in order to define the improvement potential. This can relate to improving the NPS, efficiency or employee engagement. You look at the “as is” situation with a critical pair of eyes and you dare to think and act out of the box. From your analysis you will come up with a feasible plan to implement the improvement potential. Eventually you will realize the improvement in cooperation with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. from the business, functions, risk).
Working environment
As a Lean Consultant you will functionally be part of the Lean Team and report directly to the Pool Head (Change & Lean management) who is part of the MT Business Implementation. You will be working closely together with the various Corporate Banking client segments (e.g. Commercial Clients and Corporate & Institutional Clients), products (e.g. Financing Solutions and ABF) and other (external) stakeholders (e.g. IT, Risk and Finance) to manage the lean projects. The Lean Team offers a dynamic and result oriented working environment where sustainable solutions are designed and realized. It consists of colleagues with various backgrounds and with a drive for continuous improvement - of not only the organisation, but also of the direct teams.
Your profile
A continuously changing environment gives you energy in order to learn and to develop. You dare to take responsibility and would like to work in a team of driven professionals. You are critical and seeking for how things could be done better and smarter. If the solution is not immediately available, that does not discourage you. You know how to inspire, advise and convince (senior) management and colleagues within Corporate Banking. The profile you have:
- A completed Lean Six Sigma Orange/Black Belt;
- Minimum 5 years of years of work experience preferably in change management, consultancy and/or project management;
- Ability to independently execute a lean project from beginning to the end, and to steer and coach others in the project team;
- Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills;
- Sparring partner for management when it comes to strategic questions, able to translate holistic problems to improvement projects/actions and convince management with concrete improvement proposals;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, connects easily with key stakeholders and knows how to get them along;
- Self-critical, energetic, flexible and able to constructively handle resistance.
