(Junior) Threat Response Analyst - PwC

As (Junior) Threat Response Analyst, you are mainly responsible for building a system that will provide more assurance that incidents, no matter how small, are managed quickly and by the right personnel.

PwC is driving major change across information and cyber security by building a centralized model to provide security services across the entire network of member firms.  Mandated at the network level, Network Information Security (NIS) operates outside Information Technology (IT) and is responsible for this major program initiative, from definition of the security strategy to the execution of the global Cyber Readiness Program, moving from local to globally-provided services. 

Our mission is to identify, control, and reduce the attack surface across the network of member firms while increasing our adversaries’ cost of attack.

In order to deliver the Cyber Readiness Program, the NIS team is structured into the following Pillars:

  • Information Security Risk and Compliance (ISRC)
  • Chief Information Security Office (CISO)
  • Security Architecture, Engineering, Innovation and Transformation (SAEIT)
  • Cyber Security Services
  • Strategy and Alliances
  • Chief of Staff

What does your work look like?

The Network Data Incident Response “NDIR” service provides a 24/7/365 global triage/threat response function to ensure data incidents in the network are handled in a consistent, accurate, efficient, and timely manner to maintain the trust of our people, clients and avoid any negative impact to our brand, reputation, and the operations of PwC or our clients.

We are building a system that will provide more assurance that incidents, no matter how small, are managed quickly and by the right personnel. 

Your skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Building solid relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
  • Delivering clear requests for information
  • Escalating potential conflicts to a supervisor
  • Performing research using available tools and methodologies
  • Analyzing data and presenting findings to colleagues
  • Developing an awareness of Firm and NIS services 

Who are you?

  • At least 1 year of experience in Information Technology
  • Relevant Bachelor degree
  • Broad understanding of Global corporate environment navigation
  • Knowledge of Technology or information security principles, including a broad, high-level understanding of information security policy requirements and compliance as well as current events within the cybersecurity space
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when determining which data incidents require follow-up response or escalation
  • Experience with Business processes, particularly in the information security or information technology space
  • Previous host-based investigative or analysis work is beneficial
