Change and Release Manager - KPMG

De functie
The Change and release manager is responsible for execution of changes in production and service
operations with as minimal disturbance to the business as possible. Changes include new business
requirements, software upgrades and infrastructural changes impacting business users.

Responsibilities and tasks
This position requires the assigned resource to:

  • Assist the EMA RDC Service Delivery Manager by ensuring that support services are being delivered according to the agreed service levels, KPI’s and actively create reports for the EMA RDC management and business stakeholders;
  • Lead the regional adoption ofsystem enhancements based on new business requirements and service requests including the documentation, configuration. Ensuring that corresponding testing/validating procedures are defined and implemented accordingly;
  • Actively ensure that all changes are recorded accordingly within defined systems and that key changes are aligned with key stakeholder groups (Change & Control Boards);
  • Lead the regional testing/validation effort;
  • Manage and coordinate the processing of steady state application and system maintenance activities including communication to corresponding KPMG service stakeholders;
  • Produce and/or enhance existing procedures to adequately test all business scenarios represented in the template and approved localizations;
  • Interact closely with business process leads and key business stakeholders and assist the RAS team members in ensuring that business demands are assessed and solutions are delivered according to agreed functional requirements;
  • Collaborate with other KPMG support organizations such as Global SCF teams to actively align application release and system maintenance cycles in accordance with industrialized global and regional procedures;
  • Assist the RDC PMO team in ensure that new services are deployed according to existing RDC RAS procedures and standards and perform a leading role in actively coordinating application cutover and hyper care support periodsto ensure a smooth transition to steady state operational services (ensuring that documentation and procedures are aligned accordingly);
  • Able to respond to changing priorities and be able to respond to changes in business needs in a dynamic environment;
  • Provide general leadership and management guidance to RAS team members and consultants by proactively building and growing a team culture that focuses on successful and enduring customer and partner relationships; ensuring that the RDC RAS support staff comply with KPMG’s ITS process and procedures; seeking to act as a mentor and actively support team members to develop their respective net worth; providing proactive career management appraisals and set clear direction for staff to achieve the objectives and goals.

Het profiel
Members of the EMA RDC need a core set of competencies enabling them to work effectively with
the various ITS and business communities within the regions and the member firms. Skills such as
virtual teaming, customer relationship management and product expertise lay the foundation upon
which specialty competencies are built. Specialty competencies support the coaching, training,
measurement, and change management skills that are typically needed in a technology deployment or
in the programs following to increase usage.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in corporate environment supervising functional support teams on a consultant level, ideally in a global setting in a technology and/or a professional services environment;
  • Minimum 2 years, preferably SAP or comparable ERP system;
  • Minimum one end to end preferably SAP or comparable ERP system project implementation life cycles, preferably rolling out regional or global templates;
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Strong EMA professional services business process knowledge in the region;
  • Experience using communication tools like Microsoft Office which are utilized extensively in the region working as part of a virtual team;
  • Maturity in personal skills and the practical application ERP methodologies;
  • Pragmatic attitude and flexible to changing priorities and demands;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills;
  • ITIL foundation certified (other qualifications such as Prince 2, if not already achieved, are to be actively progressed as part of a continuous career development plan);
  • A background in change and release management and the ability to work under high pressure, excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Confident self-starter who can approach stakeholders in a pro-active and enthusiastic manner and have the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy and are very service oriented.
  • Fluency in English.
