You will operate within a team of about 30 colleagues within the Application Service Delivery (ASD) department as part of the Technology and Operations business line. ASD delivers the maintenance support and is responsible for a reliable and efficient landscape. You will be liaising with multiple stakeholders in the business in order to maintain and improve the application landscape. You will have international exposure and the unique opportunity to participate in challenging projects while helping the organisation grow to a more global and proactive daily operations.
Your main responsibilities
- Proactively providing functional and technical maintenance for the Middleware applications
- Continuously keeping control of areas regarding the managed applications
- Communicating with all the stakeholders and key-users
- Delivering the agreed services concerning the applications
- Managing the structured acceptation of changes to production
- Relevant educational background or similar working level
- Relevant 4 - 7 years experience in IT, preferably with functional and technical application management in a large environment
- Extended knowledge and experience of UNIX-, Windows -scripting and SQL
- Basic knowledge of Perl scripting, FTP, MQseries, XFB, Samba
- Knowledge of the Unix- and Windows OperatingSystem
- Knowledge of the processes and services of an IT organisation such as ITIL, ASL and Prince2 (BiSL is a plus)
- Knowledge of and experience with the financial industry and applied Middleware applications are a plus
- Fluent in English

Technology & Operations
The Technology & Operations business line is undergoing rapid changes and developments towards a top standard organization in alignment with the overall ING Investment Management ambition. Technology & Operations consist of 3 departments:
1. Technology: plans, designs and delivers Technology Services to the business, aligning with the business change agenda and operational requirements. The department consists of 60+ professionals divided over the following teams: 5 BTM teams, Common Services, Architecture, Application Service Delivery and Service Control Management.
2. Operations: is accountable for all tasks necessary to manage and account for investments:
- Acting as a liaison between the Front-Office and the Back-Office
- Providing the business with a standardized, comprehensive and scalable operations processing capability
- Industrializing the accounting and administration activities
- Centralising all reporting requirements and activities.
3. Business Management: is responsible for guiding, aligning and supporting control activities across the T&O business line, and providing the ING IM Management and governance bodies with valuable decision support material. The department consists of 75+ professionals divided over the following teams: Management Support Office, Program Management Office, Sourcing & Supplier Management and Strategy & Business Change.Standplaats:
